Okay, I've recently discovered a very good band called Cigarettes After Sex (@cigarettesaftersex). They are an ambient pop band as Wikipedia would tell.  This band is literally one of the best bands that I've ever listened to lyrics wise. I love how they put rhythm and melody to seemingly ordinary text. When I listen to them, I'm transported to an entirely different world; dark, romantic and desolate memory of a love that was once was and what it will be in one's memory. Their music is the epitome of someone who has been in love once, broken into pieces, but will never regret the love that was once felt. The emotions of all their songs speaks to me as if it was written by someone whom I have known for so long. If you are the kind of person who loves music because you can relate to the lyrics, specially those melancholic ones, then this band won't disappoint. Okay, so I have been introduced to the world of Spotify podcast by my bestfriend/cousin Alma and boy was I hooked haha! I mean this podcast is so chill and very real, 'yung tipong para ka lang nakikinig sa dalawang tropa mong sobrang sabaw minsan haha. "None of us knows God until someone introduces us." - Piscine Molitor Patel "Pi" in Life of Pi I've just watched this incredible movie Life of Pi which is about one's great and never-ending faith in God. It tells a story of a man who as a young boy has been told that he cannot follow three different religions at the same time because believing in everything at the same time, is the same as not believing in anything at all. He has been told that ' Religion is obscurity and religion is darkness ' and yet he still believed in a greater power; he still believed in God despite all that he has been through. My faith has been renewed and re-energized by watching this movie because it gives us a "concrete" example of God's work in our lives. Who wants to be a DIVERGENT? Put your hands up! I am not a critique, seemingly so expert on all the tit-and-tat of the dystopian genre. I won't be reviewing its plot since many have already pointed out the content of this book and what you can find. As promised, I’m doing my review on EL James Fifty Shades Trilogy. First up, I want to say that I only read this book because I was so curious as to why people are raving about it that even my friend told me about it. So off I go to discovering what this book had to offer and viola I was left surprised when I found out that it’s not just a single book but a trilogy. I will say that this series is one of those that I wouldn’t recommend to close-minded people mainly because of its mature and sensitive content (all of the three books) but I’ll do recommend this to those who are willing to actually be appreciative enough to understand that these books also have something to offer.
